ABOUT NIGERIA

Nigeria, situated in West Africa, is the most populous country on the continent and boasts a diverse landscape, vibrant culture, and rich history. Bordered by Benin to the west, Niger to the north, Chad to the northeast, and Cameroon to the southeast, Nigeria also has a coastline along the Gulf of Guinea to the south, where it meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Abuja, the capital city, is located centrally within the country and serves as the political and administrative hub, while Lagos, situated along the southwestern coast, stands as the largest city and a major economic center, known for its bustling markets and vibrant energy.

The official language of Nigeria is English, inherited from its colonial past, but the country is linguistically rich with over 500 indigenous languages spoken, including Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, among others, reflecting its diverse ethnic composition.

Religiously, Nigeria is diverse, with a significant portion of the population adhering to Christianity, Islam, and indigenous African religions.
